Essay Writing Tips

Outside the box essay writing tips can help your project stand out from the crowd. You must have read it before: the essay that says the same thing and has been reworded a thousand times in so many different ways. This is the type of essay your professor would rather not read and ends up grading with a mediocre mark.

So how do you catch your professor's attention and get that A grade?

You take yourself outside the box, give yourself a worldly-wise perspective, and your professor notices.

Let's see what this means exactly.

Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines worldly-wise as possessing a practical and often shrewd understanding of human affairs.

How do we achieve this state?

By being mindful every minute of our lives – even if sometimes we'd rather not be, or even if it's too hard to be.

There are several benefits to being mindful, but let’s look at just two. Firstly, when you are mindful and fully focused, you remember better. Secondly, when you are mindful, you get to know you and by getting to know you, you begin to know others and the world around you.

Let’s look at the first benefit: being fully wherever it is you are. You begin to find meaning in every subject, in every encounter, and in every event that takes place around you and in the world, thus becoming worldly-wise.

The second benefit is that you begin to observe yourself and thereby know yourself, and as you know who you are, you begin recognizing patterns amd meaning in interactions and in the world.

The two benefits together help give you a new way of thinking. You begin to shift from self awareness to global awareness. And this encompasses a large-picture vision of the world around you. It is from this state that you begin to learn how to write an essay.

However you approach this worldly-wise perspective, your professor will notice. Why? Because then, you will be the teacher and he or she will become the student, and reading your essay will be a learning experience. And it will be graded accordingly.
